Todd Scalise studied
painting in Rome during the early nineties. Upon his
return to the United States he graduated from Tyler
School of Art at Temple University with a BFA in Painting.
Shortly after Todd was invited to attend the Boston
University Graduate School of Fine Arts where he studied
under John Walker, John Moore and Alfred Leslie. After
graduating with a Masters in Fine Art, Todd moved to
California to work as a muralist for a commercial art
company. In 1999 Todd moved back to the east coast to
teach Art History at Penn State University and to begin
an elaborate body of paintings entitled New Millennia.
Todd Scalise's paintings have been selected
to hang in the Andy Warhol Museum, The Pittsburgh Center
for the Arts, and a number of galleries in New York
City. As a member of The Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators,
Todd's work has appeared in several national magazines
such as The Progressive,
Juxtapoz, and Parade.
Recently, Todd was appointed to a full-time position
as an Assistant Professor of Art and Design at Eastern
New Mexico University.
